Farmers and their plots

Every wallet that holds the token gets a plot, and the plot grows with its share.

One plot per wallet

Every wallet that holds the token is a farmer, and every farmer gets a plot. Plots are handed out in the order wallets first arrive, by buying or by being sent tokens, and laid on a spiral that winds out from the middle of the farm. The earliest farmers sit nearest the centre, and a plot keeps its place.

How a plot grows

What grows on a plot depends on the farmer’s share of the whole supply. Under 0.01% it is a patch of seeds. From 0.01% it sprouts. From 0.1% it is a field with a ripe crop, and from 1% the field gives way to a building. Buy more and the plot moves up; sell and it can move back down.

Seeds: under 0.01%
Sprouts: 0.01% or more
Ripe pumpkins: 0.1% or more
A shed: 1% or more

Known at a glance

A plot’s crop, its building and the colour of its flag all come from the wallet’s address, so they never change and a farmer’s plot looks the same wherever it appears. Crops are wheat, corn, pumpkins and capsules; buildings are a shed, a house, a small barn, a silo and a windmill. The flag’s colour matches the dot beside that wallet in the farm’s list of recent trades.

Trades on the farm

When a farmer buys, the plot flashes green and its crop bounces. When a farmer sells, it flashes red and the crop shrinks with a puff of dust. A buy of 5 SOL or more makes the flag wave hard, and a whale buy also crowns the bull.

Leaving and coming back

A farmer who sells down to less than 1% of the most they ever held has left. Their plot goes to weeds, a scarecrow stands guard and the flag comes down. If they come back, the plot is theirs again and the flag waves hard to welcome them home.

Weeds and a scarecrow

A page for every plot

Each plot has its own page at /plot/ followed by the wallet’s address. It shows the plot as the farm draws it, and the farmer’s story: when they arrived, their trades and transfers, and how many bear raids they have come through.
