Eras and the railway

From an empty pasture to a railroad: the farm grows up as the bonding curve fills.

The bonding curve

A pump.fun token starts out on a bonding curve, which fills as people buy and gives back a little as they sell. When it is full, the token moves on to a trading pool, and the farm calls that graduation. How full the curve is tells the farm how far along it is.

Six eras

When a new era begins, a hot-air balloon with its name rises from the middle of the farm.

Empty pasture
From the start. Open grass with trees and a pond around the edge, and a campfire in the middle where the log folk sit.
Homestead
From 10% of the curve. A fence goes up around the plots, with a gate where the dirt road runs out.
Farm
From 35% of the curve. The big barn takes the middle, with a lamp and chimney smoke. The campfire moves beside it, and a well appears at the end of a worn trail.
Big farm
From 65% of the curve. The farm keeps spreading ring by ring as new farmers arrive.
Ranch
From 90% of the curve. The last stretch of the curve. The railway is nearly done.
Railroad
At graduation. The track is finished and the train comes through.
The early days
The barn
The well

The railway

Along the far edge of the farm, a railway is laid sleeper by sleeper as the curve fills, with a buffer stop at the end of the line so far, so you can read the curve from the track. A billboard by the gate shows how many farmers there are and how full the curve is.

Graduation

When the curve is full, the last rails go down and the train comes through. Capsule visitors hop off by the barn and join the party, fireworks and confetti burst over the barn, and the bull celebrates. The finale lasts 30 seconds.

The train at graduation

After graduation

After graduation the farm watches the market cap instead. Each time it crosses one of the marks set in the farm’s rules (7 of them, from $100K to $10M), a plane tows a banner across the sky and Farmer Green points it out. The marks are only where the plane flies. They are not targets or predictions.
